Welcome to my blog about my beguiling Snowshoe cat, Zorro

  • Zorro came to me as a kitten with his brother, Henry, who was actually my chosen kitten.   When I went to collect Henry from the breeder there was going to be only one little fellow left. I could not resist those appealing blue eyes, SO, without any hesitation,I came home with the pair of them.  The name, Zorro, was quickly settled upon because of his mask and the brothers soon  began to take over my life.

Tragically we lost Henry.   He was so adventurous and, like all cats, had no road sense.  I was devastated and Zorro was very stressed and lonely for several weeks. He really missed his brother as they were always together and slept in a tangle of legs and tails.     Zorro is now " King of the Castle" and has become used to being the boss.   He loves company and demands attention, he  patrols the house and garden, does not wander far from his immediate environs and comes when he is called. He is very  affectionate  and interactive with humans, loves children and likes nothing better than a game of hide and seek.
He is a very handsome boy, with beautiful colouring, a dark grey/brown mask, little white  snowshoes and gloriously enchanting blue eyes.

In summer he likes to lie in the bird bath and sunbathe, but, in winter he chooses a radiator shelf or, better still, any empty lap. When I am on the computer he is determinedly pushing my hand off the mouse.  He is jealous of the attention it is receiving!
Zorro is now 15 months old, officially a CAT.
I tell him he should be behaving like a grown-up but he is still a naughty kitten at heart
